There are only 8 growers in the area of Marcillac in South-West France, one being Phillipe and Julien Teulier who run Domaine du Cros. This father and son duo cultivate 30 hectares of vines, mostly on slopes. Up until 1982, Domaine du Cros only had 1ha and produced 4,000 bottles of wine. Today it produces 5 wines from the estate, the Cuvée Lo Sang del Païs is 100% Mansois from 25 year old organic vines that are hand harvested. Expect raspberry, some spice and earthiness from this juicy red. It's a perfect pairing for duck, seeing as it's from "duck country". What grows together, goes together and all that.
