Located on the left bank of the Gironde, between the communes of Margaux and Saint-Julien, Château Beaumont was established in 1824.
The wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. As you'd expect from quality Bordeaux it has a beautiful garnet colour, and on the nose reveals soft oaky notes of vanilla, spice, black cherry, and blackcurrent. On the palate it's smooth and fresh, with a lush mouthfeel. The taste is characterised by notes of graphite and violets, but it’s the fruit weight here that sets it apart: this is long, pure, and savoury. The Merlot exudes ripe fruit while the Cabernet Sauvignon brings power with fine tannins, all rounded out by the Petit Verdot giving black fruits and freshness.
