A fantastic Macon Village, where the focus has been on trying to keep as much of the freshness from the Chardonnay as possible, allowing for a wine of impeccable balance between freshness and typical Macon structure and oiliness.
Nicholas Potel, founder and owner of Maison Roche de Bellene, personally chose this brand name in reference to this city, historically linked with wine and famous for its diversity of terroirs. Potel has travelled the world in pursuit of learning as much as possible, dreaming of the day he will be able to have his own project. This would eventually happen in 2005 when this project was born. Potel works organically and follows low intervention practices to make wine from vines that are between 50 and 110 years old.
On the nose this is true to style, with citrus notes and white flowers. On the palate it’s ample and elegant with stone-fruit and citrus.
Chateau Du Beau Vallon Saint Emilion 2022
Classic Saint Emilion, comes from a family owned estate dating back to the 16th century. It shows great concentration on the palate and it is full bodied, drinking perfectly now. A great value wine carrying a lot of ripe fruits and weight, made in a very balanced and structured way.
Bordeaux blend where Merlot is the main player (80%) and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. A very fruity, silky, elegant and round wine made from 30-year-old vines, grown on clay and limestone soils located in the north-west flank of Saint-Emilion. The harvest is entirely carried out by hand before traditional ageing in oak barrels.
