Pauline & Géraud Fromont founded Domaine des Marnes Blanches when they were in their early twenties, fresh out of winemaking school. They purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. They make a range of wines from oxidised Chardonnays, classic reds from Trousseau and Ploussard and super Créments.
Trousseau is a grape commonplace in the Jura so it's no surprise that Marne Blanches' expression of it is superb. This is a powerful yet gluggable red with great smokiness and red berried fruits bursting through. Lash it in the fridge for half an hour, pair it with barbequed meat and you're laughin'.
