The vineyard for this superbly silky cuvee, La Ciaude, contains some of the oldest vines that Anne Gros & JP Tollot have access to: 108 year old Carignan vines; 50 year old Carignan vines; 25 year old Syrah wines; and 12 year old Grenache vines. The result is a structured and elegant Minervois blend with heaps of concentrated black fruit, garrigue, and fine tannins to boot. Think of it as a Burgundy red made in the south of France.
