Phaunus Pet Nat 2022 is a biodynamic, natural sparkling wine from Aphros Wine in Portugal's Vinho Verde region, crafted by Vasco Croft.
The grapes (50% Loureiro and 50% Arinto) are harvested manually and then left to macerate on the skins and then pressed. The resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts at a temperature between 14 and 16 degrees. Fermentation finishes in the bottle without yeasts or added sugars and disgorging takes place 5 months later.
A super refreshing Pet Nat with floral aromas, and notes of citrus and herbs. It’s got a light, refreshing and pleasant palate. A fine bubble wine with good pressure and a citrus flavour accompanied by hints of sweetness. This is an ideal wine for aperitif, light fishy foods, olives and crudites.
