The Barbaresco DOCG Gallina delivers a tasting experience of both power and elegance, with dense yet smooth tannins. Its distinct origin—the hill where the vineyards are located faces that of Albesani—is evident in the wine’s notes, aromas, and structure. The vineyard lies in the municipality of Neive, covering 1.60 hectares, with a southwest exposure at around 220–240 meters above sea level. The soils are a mix of calcareous, clay, and sand. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats using a pied de cuve with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in large oak barrels, followed by bottle aging for a minimum of 6 months and up to a year
The wine reveals itself in garnet red hues. On the nose, it offers aromas of violets and forest floor, with subtle spicy hints. On the palate, it is long and persistent, featuring a fine, elegant, and polished tannic structure.
