An essential reference in Pomerol, Château Gazin has a very ancient origin. In 1917, Château Gazin was acquired by Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of the current owners, the De Bailliencourt dit Courcol family.
Château Gazin is aPomerol Wine that stems from a vineyard of 26 hectares planted on a high terrace on a clay-gravel soil. Château Gazin is the largest of the crus of the famous appellation located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
Ageing for 15 months in barrels (of which 45% were new and 55% of one wine). Blend of Merlot (87%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (8%).
The nose is complex, mingling fruity (black and red fruit) and floral fragrances with notes of mocha and vanilla. On the palate, a round and fruity (cherry, blackcurrant) attack gives way to a fresh, precise and balanced palate with silky tannins.
Storage: This Pomerol wine can be laid down until around 2041.
