This particular wine was conceived in vineyards, in Alba and Cherasco, to obtain an expression of freshness, youth, immediate pleasantness and complexity, while still being easy to drink with various foods. A soft approach in the cellar, with lower temperatures, shorter maceration and more whole berries during fermentation, promises a more delicate and fragrant approach to this brilliant example of varietal expression.
On the nose are aromas of ripe red berries together with hints of violets, tobacco, coffee, and dark spices. The palate is intense, savory, and elegant, enhanced by silky tannins and a soft, fruity, and slightly spicy finish. It pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses as well as with flavorful meat dishes.
