3rd Cru Classé of Margaux in the classification of Médoc wines in 1855, the Château Kirwan has belonged to the Schÿler family since 1925. Driven by the dynamism of Philippe Delfaut and equipped with infrastructure worthy of its terroir, Château Kirwan belongs to the elite of the great Margaux crus.
The blend of this wine is a heady mix of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (23%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (6%), and Carménère (1%). As you'd expect from a Margaux this wine shows elegance, with fragrant black fruits, understated spices and integrated fine tannins. Balanced acidity underscores a long length.
