This is a delicate, pale pink colour, typical Provencal style rose that has became very popular in recent years. The nose is fresh with notes of red berries and stone fruits. The palate has a lovely texture coupled with flavours of apricot, peach and white flowers which are well balanced with a bright acidity.
Chateau Miraval is in the Provence village of Correns, the first 100% organic village in France. All the crops, including the grapes, are grown organically in this wild and picturesque town. The estate was famously bought by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in 2008.
Drinks well on its own and pairs wonderfully with a Provence inspired salad of tomatoes, potatoes. olives and lots of fresh herbs.
