Founded in 1906, Nervi is the oldest producer in Gattinara. Today, the house is owned by Roberto Conterno – the man behind some of Piedmont’s most iconic Barolos. Under his leadership, Nervi Gattinara has achieved a new precision and balance, where Nebbiolo emerges with rare clarity and elegance.
Nervi Conterno Gattinara 2018 is an elegant and complex red wine from Piedmont, created from 100% Nebbiolo. The wine has a deep ruby red color and an aromatic profile with notes of red berries, roses, tar and fine spices. The taste combines freshness and structure – a lively acidity, fine tannins and a long, mineral finish.
The wine is aged for three years in large Slavonian oak barrels, which gives it a special finesse and depth. The volcanic soil at the foot of Monte Rosa adds a touch of coolness and a precise, almost stony character.
