The Saint-Cyrgues' vineyards are located near the village of St-Gilles, along the southern slopes of the Costières de Nîmes in the Rhône Valley, which has a history of vine cultivation dating back centuries. The Domaine is owned and run along organic lines by Jean-Pierre Lefaud and his son Loic. Their Salamandre Rouge is 100% Syrah and unoaked. Expect notes of black cherries, black pepper, and smoke on the nose. Full-bodied and ripe on the palate with a bright acidity and medium tannins, leading to a juicy finish.
