“Port is a fortified wine, long associated with the festive season. Tawny Port has hazelnut and toffee aromas and flavours of raisins, walnut, and spice. The wine style is aged so it turns brown in colour (tawny) it is bottled when ready to drink. Ideal to serve with any dessert made with coffee or caramel, it is especially tasty with crème brulèe. Why not serve it with Christmas cake at the end of your festive feast. But my favourite pairing is with walnuts and Stilton, a match made in heaven.” Jean Smullen
